FCA Board announces resignation of co-CEO, Peter Gartlan

The Board of Financial Counselling Australia (FCA) has announced co-CEO, Peter Gartlan, is stepping down effective from 30th September 2025.

Peter has worked at FCA since 2020 and became co-CEO in February 2024.

“We thank Peter for his leadership, dedication, and the impact he has had on our organisation throughout his tenure as co-CEO and prior to that appointment as a senior staff member,” said Chair, Kylie Holford.

“His tireless work on disaster response, the passion with which he has built relationships across the sector and his contribution to professionalise the sector have all had a profound impact,” Ms Holford said.

The Board is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr Domenique Meyrick to continue as sole CEO.

“Dom is an inspiring leader, bringing extensive experience and strong values to all she does,” Ms Holford said.

“Dom is the right person to ensure there is continuity and commitment to FCA’s mission, values, and strategic direction.

“She will continue to drive fundamental improvements in FCA’s work as well as lead projects which ensure the sector has a sustainable future.”
